I thought it would be a cool idea to throw together a quick website where nanobrewers could submit their information to our human (that’s me!) edited directory.  What’s a nanobrewery?  Well, generally speaking its a small brewery that produces 3bbl and under for commercial sale.  MSN had a neat article on the nanobrewing idea (that doesn’t seem to be available anymore).  In the post, they summed up nanobrewing like this…

“The nanobrewery concept allows one or a few good craft brewers to spend a few weekends a month brewing batches of beer that can be sold to pubs in their communities…The model isn’t one that focuses on eventual growth. The nanobrewer isn’t going to quit his day job. They are brewing because they love the process and want to share the results with the people in their neighborhoods.”

I hope that this helps small brewers find one another if need be, and I also hope that eventually this little site becomes a source of information for nanobrewers, and those who are interested in them.

Think about it.  Maybe there is a nanobrewer right down the street from where you live that you don’t even know exists! The best beer that you never tried could be much closer than you think!

So, go ahead and search the directory for a nanobrewer near you! Or, if you are a nanobrewer, (or know of one) please feel free to submit your listing via the form. I personally go over each entry, so there’s not going to be any junk in this list. It’s all good.
